Bursary Fund

Young people who need some financial support to help them study at Sarum Academy after 16 can apply to the 16-19 Bursary Fund. Those most in need may be eligible for a bursary of up to £1200 a year. This includes young people in care, care leavers, young people receiving income support and disabled young people receiving both Employment Support Allowance and Disability Living Allowance. Other students facing financial difficulties may also be able to claim a bursary to help with costs of transport, food, equipment or other course-related costs.

To receive the maximum bursary your course must last for 30 weeks or more. If your course is shorter than 30 weeks, you may receive less.
