Special Educational Needs

The SEN team's role is to ensure every pupil in the Academy is able to learn, despite any difficulties they might face. This involves getting to know every pupil’s individual strengths and weaknesses and building on their skills and abilities to ensure they make progress.

Information is provided to teachers so they know all their pupils and how to teach according to their needs. Specialised teaching and other provision is provided to help learners make accelerated progress so they can access all teaching experiences.

The team comprises of a number of teachers and teaching assistants, who amongst them have a wealth of specialist knowledge and qualifications.
