Fish Heroes Mussel Day! On Friday our Year 10, 11, and 13 students got hands-on with fresh mussels as part of the Fish Heroes programme and the verdict is in... they were a hit! Lucas (Year 10) summed it up perfectly: "It's banging!" Oscar (Year 11) said they were "incredible." And Roman (Year 10) polished off his plate and then started helping with everyone else's! It was fantastic to see so many students trying something new and loving it. A big thank you to Fish Heroes for making this possible! #FishHeroes #SeafoodEducation #FutureChefs #SchoolCooking
Sarum was delighted to host Salisbury Radio's Song for Christmas with an amazing turnout and level of talent from our local Primary schools
Year 11 Boys Football – Sarum Academy vs Wyvern St Edmunds The Year 11 boys faced Wyvern St Edmunds in a fierce local grudge match, with bragging rights on the line until the next encounter. It proved to be a tight and competitive game, with outstanding performances across the pitch. Warren, Elvis and Justin controlled the midfield brilliantly, while James stood strong at the back, calmly dealing with everything that came his way. The wing-backs put in excellent shifts too, driving the team forward and adding real width to the attack. A special mention goes to Jack Street, who stepped up from Year 10 to play in goal. He made a fantastic save and remained calm and collected whenever called uponan impressive performance in a high-pressure fixture. Jamie was a constant threat out wide and was unlucky not to get on the scoresheet, but it was Theo who stole the spotlight. A superb Man of the Match display saw him score twice and lead the line with intelligent hold-up play, securing a well-deserved win for Sarum Academy. Well done boys

Following the success of the KS3 & 4 boys at last week's badminton tournament, this week it was the girls' turn. Our KS4 team played incredibly well against three very tough teams & achieved 3 well deserved victories! Our KS3 team improved hugely over their 3 rounds of games, resulting in them winning their group & putting them through to the final against SWGS. Well done to all girls - you were amazing! Outstanding attitude throughout & respect for all other competitors!
Mrs Hayzen was delighted to welcome Sally Kyte, who generously donated a new Christmas tree this year. She visited the school today with Rachel Dunn, who supports us pastorally.

Science Club – Week 5! This week our students explored two exciting hands-on experiments: Osmosis with Gummy Bears Students measured gummy bears before and after soaking them in water to see how they changed. They discovered how osmosis works and why water moves from an area of low solute concentration to high solute concentration. A fun and colourful way to see real biology in action! Homemade Lava Lamps Using oil, coloured water and fizzy tablets, students created their own lava lamps and learnt about density and immiscible liquids. They loved watching the bubbles rise and fall as the reaction took place. It was a fun, engaging way to learn science through experiments and creativity. We're already looking forward to our next Science Club session next Tuesday!
